I’m Alana Chernecki, M.Ed. - an arts educator, curriculum designer, speaker, facilitator and founder of Artful Teaching. Joyful Learning.®
I’ve written provincial Arts curriculum, taught future teachers at universities and colleges, led action research, worked alongside educators and school systems, and facilitated professional learning across Canada and internationally.
But beneath every role I've served is something simpler: I want children to experience an education that feels deeply human.
The way forward in education must be rooted in the deeply experiential, unmistakably human nature of learning.
Academics do not have to compete with creativity.
Rigour can live alongside experimentation, imagination and play.
