Do you struggle with getting your students to publish their work?

The writing process is a challenge at the best of times {and then working with multi-level, multi-interest, multi-need, IEP/AEP/EAL kids... Oy!}

Bookmaking is an inspiring and engaging artform that also doubles as a core literacy strategy. Handmade books can be used in countless contexts.

Kids will love them, parents will cherish them, and administrators will be in AWE of them.

In this workshop, I’ll be sharing several easy bookmaking structures for children in K-6. You’ll come away with inspiration and your own hand-made models to share with your students, as well as a companion guidebook and materials list.

Relax, unwind, get inspiration and validation, share ideas and connect with other heart-centred teacher creatives.

"I left Alana's workshop feeling inspired and excited, because my own creative juices are flowing. Alana's creativity, the opportunity to actually create the books and the variety of books to see and make were so valuable!"

"I left the workshop feeling inspired and capable, because I have several new ideas to incorporate into my classroom using visual art (and it wasn't that hard!) I loved seeing all of the creative ways to make books in the classroom that can be integrated into so many subject areas."
